why having hobies is good for the soul....

I'm a firm beliver that having hobbies and interests outside of your working inviroment is good for the soul. I also think its better for your health. I must add I am not basing this on any scientific knowledge, just a little common sence.

I may be basing this new found belief on the fact that along with my writting I have also just taken up on knitting and sewing. Before you ask I do not feel like I am turning into my 80+ year old gran I am in fact loving every minute of it. I have just started work on my 3rd scarf which is by far the best of the lot.

I cant wait till next month when I should have saved up enough money to buy a sewing machine I have got my eye on. For now though Im more than happy just seeing what I can make and hopefully it wont all be bad.

30 Years of Brit Awards... So

So after two long hours the 2010 Brit awards were disappointing to say the least. As a teenager I was always a big fan. And while it wasn't as cringe worthy as say 1980 the year Sam Fox dragged herself through though the show, it was a total farce. Cheryl Cole could not have mimed the words more badly if she tried.

It wasn't all bad though. If it wasn't for Robbie Williams lifetime achievement showcase at the end of the evening. I was just glad to have sky+ the whole thing and was able to watch it all in about an hour.

Okay so while my head injury/migraine/whatever the Dr decides is up with my head 3 months after hurting it has given me a lot of time to think. Think about the future. Think about what what I want to do with my life. Starting with getting back into the swing of things with my book. My first love and while I have sometimes been frustrated with writers block it has been a constant labour of love of mine. So I'm going to get my creative juices flowing again and hopefully I will start to feel better.

New Start.....

Ok so this year so suppose to be the start of of new year and a new me. So far I have spent all of 2010 in my sick bed not getting much better with the head injury from hell. The only consolation I have now though is my limited internet time I can enjoy without braking out in tears of pain. Oh yeah and catching up on my reading espicially Ophelia's Web which has made me smile.

So while I continue to ramble along and make some more notes about my book which are not getting very far, I'll try and get better as soon as possible.
